Ministrul Comunicaţiilor, Bogdan Cojocaru, a prezentat luni bilanțul la 6 luni de activitate, lăudându-se cu un proiect din fonduri europene nefinalizat în perioada 2007 – 2013 și fazat în exercițiul financiar european 2014 – 2020.
“Ro-Net este un proiect fazat care vine din anul 2014. În momentul de faţă ne-am asumat finalizarea acestui proiect, pentru că au existat şi blocaje de-a lungul timpului. E un proiect foarte important din punct de vedere al implicaţiilor sociale. Iniţial, au fost considerate ‘zone albe’ 783 de locaţii, iar astăzi au ajuns la 721. În ultimele şase luni, am recepţionat 219 locaţii din cele 521 în care a ajuns internetul de mare viteză prin intermediul Ro-Net”, a spus Cojocaru.
Ro-Net este un proiect major finanţat prin fonduri structurale europene. La finalul lunii mai, Comisia Europeană a decis modificarea acestui proiect şi împărţirea sa în două etape.
Valoarea totală aprobată pentru prima etapă a proiectului este de 18,8 milioane de euro, din care 12,5 milioane reprezintă co-finanţarea prin Fondul european de dezvoltare regională. Bugetul proiectului pentru cea de-a doua etapă este de 53 milioane de euro.
“E clar că, în şase luni, s-a muncit cât au muncit alţii în trei ani. Îmi doresc să putem să încheiem la timp acest proiect, adică în luna septembrie, iar 400.000 de gospodării să poată avea acces la internet de mare viteză, la care se adaugă instituţiile publice din zonele respective. Dacă se va merge în acest ritm, cred că va exista o prelungire a acestui proiect, dar foarte scurtă”, a adăugat el.
În luna august a acestui an au fost lansate apeluri de proiecte pentru Next Generation Network (NGN), un proiect dedicat dezvoltării infrastructurii de broadband în zonele defavorizate.
“NGN sau Ro-Net 2 reprezintă o continuare a investiţiilor în zona de infrastructură ce va aduce internet de mare viteză în alte 170.000 de locuinţe. Valoarea proiectului este de 64 milioane de euro. Proiectul nu se adresează doar persoanelor fizice, ci şi instituţiilor publice. Se dă posibilitatea ca, printr-o schemă de ajutor de stat, să investim alături de companiile din telecomunicaţii, în infrastructură. Proiectul se va derula pe o perioadă de trei ani”, a precizat ministrul Comunicaţiilor.
Aproximativ 400.000 de persoane, 8.500 de firme şi 2.800 de instituţii publice vor avea acces la Internet în bandă largă, datorită proiectului Ro-Net. Cei doi operatori desemnaţi să implementeze proiectul, în urma licitaţiei, sunt Telekom Communications şi Telekom Mobile.
