Vodafone a anunțat, joi, că a finalizat procesul de achiziție a UPC pe piața locală, după aprobarea Comisiei Europene privind preluarea de către Vodafone Grup a operațiunilor Liberty Global în România, Germania, Cehia și Ungaria, într-o tranzacție de 18,4 miliarde de euro.
Compania rezultată are o nouă echipă de management și urmează să introducă servicii de telecomunicații convergente fix-mobil.
UPC a transmis abonaților săi următorul mesaj:
“Începem această călătorie prin integrarea celor două companii într-un ritm corespunzător pentru tine și pentru noi. De asemenea, am luat măsurile necesare pentru a ne asigura că atât clienții Vodafone, cât și clienții UPC, vor avea parte de o tranziție ușoară pe parcursul integrării, dar și după aceasta. Vei continua să te bucuri de tehnologii de ultimă generație și de toată atenția noastră, la fel ca până acum”.
Echipa executivă care va conduce noua companie rezultată și va raporta către Murielle Lorilloux, directorul general al Vodafone România, a fost anunțată luni.
În trimestrul încheiat la 30 iunie 2019, veniturile totale ale Vodafone România au scăzut cu 2,7% în comparație cu aceeași perioadă a anului trecut.
Baza de clienți a crescut cu 164.122 comparativ cu anul precedent, până la un total de 9.802.608 de clienți. ARPU mobil a fost de 5,1 euro în trimestrul încheiat la 30 iunie 2019.
