După ce România și-a anunțat intenția de a-și muta ambasada de la Tel Aviv la Ierusalim, Autoritatea Palestiniană a oferit un răspuns pe măsură.
Autoritățile de la Ramallah au luat decizia de a-și retrage ambasadorul pe care îl au la București, Fuad Kokaly.
Deocamdată, oficial, Kokaly a fost chemat la Ramallah pentru consultări, însă decizia este clar drept o nemulțumire manifestată de Autoritatea Palestiniană în special cu trimitere la faptul că România a fost unul dintre puținele state UE care au onorat dineul organizat de SUA cu ocazia inaugurării ambasadei americane de la Ierusalim.
De altfel, Autoritatea Palestiniană a decis să-și retragă ambasadorii și din celelalte state UE care au trimis reprezentanți la dineul respectiv. Este vorba despre Austria, Cehia și Ungaria.
