Reprezentanţii Agenţiei Mondiale Antidoping au luat, zilele trecute, o decizie istorică.
Aceştia au anunţat că au suspendat provizoriu acreditarea pentru Laboratorul antidoping de la Bucureşti.
Decizia a fost luată din cauza “nerespectării Standardelor Internaţionale pentru Laboratoare”.
Prin acest procedeu, de suspendare a acreditării, “se interzice laboratorului de la Bucureşti efectuarea oricăror activităţi antidoping, incluzând toate analizele de urină şi sanguine. Suspendarea rămâne în vigoare până când procedurile disciplinare vor fi efectuate de o comisie independentă de disciplină, care va fi mandatată să facă recomandări preşedinţiei Comitetului Executiv al WADA, cu privire la situaţia acreditării WADA a laboratorului. În perioada suspendării provizorii, probele care nu au fost înca analizate la Bucureşti, probele aflate în procedură de confirmare şi orice probă pentru care a fost raportat un Rezultat Analitic Pozitiv trebuie transportate în siguranţă la alt laborator acreditat WADA. Acest lucru este necesar pentru a asigura o analiză continuă de înaltă calitate a probelor, care ajută la păstarea încrederii sportivilor în acest proces şi în largul sistem antidoping”.
Laboratorul de la Bucureşti a fost înfiinţat în 1983 şi era singurul acreditat din Europa de Est.
